Highway Maintenance II - Non CDL
This is semi-skilled work in the safe and efficient operation of special motor driven highway maintenance equipment in the routine preparations of ground surfaces for actual application of asphalt or concrete and may operate special mobile brush sprayer to control growth of undesirable vegetation. Employees receive definite and detailed assignments from a Highway Foreman, Highway Division Supervisor and in some cases a Highway Maintenance III employee and work is performed according to established procedures and standards with frequent inspections during progress and upon completion.

We welcome all qualiried candidates including the following: 12V – Concrete and Asphalt Equipment Operator, 12N – Horizontal Construction Engineer — still relevant, but the actual work is hands-on construction equipment operation rather than engineering/design
Service Status must be an active-duty member within 180 days of separation (EAS/EAOS/RETSHO), Command authorization must obtain written approval from their unit commander prior to start date. Conduct must be in good standing an eligible for an honorable discharge.
