Automotive Mechanic III
This is skilled work journeyman level in the maintenance and repair of all types of automotive and maintenance equipment. Employees in this class perform skilled tasks in the mechanical repair and maintenance of automobiles, trucks, tractors, snow plows, and construction equipment in a shop, garage or at the scene of a breakdown. Employees work under general supervision, using independent judgment as to method of repair after receiving oral instructions or written work orders as to the nature of the work to be performed.

We are welcome all qualified candidates, including the following: Army: 91B — Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic Army: 91S — Stryker Systems Maintainer Marine Corps: 3521 — Automotive Organizational Mechanic Air Force: 2T3X1 — Fleet Management and Analysis / vehicle maintenance specialties Navy: Uses ratings and NECs rather than MOS codes; CM (Construction Mechanic) is the closest match for automotive/mechanical work.
Service Status: Must be an active-duty member within 180 days of separation (EAS/EAOS/RETSHO). Command Authorization must obtain written approval from their unit commander prior to start date. Conduct must be in good standing and eligible for an honorable discharge.
