Employer & counselor FAQ
My company is already listed. Why?
We index the public skillbridge.mil directory daily — if you run a SkillBridge program, you're in it. The listing is yours to claim; claiming is free and unlocks your dashboard.
How do I claim my company?
Create an employer accountwith your work email. If your email domain matches your company's records in the directory (website or listing contact), the account links and claims in one step. Otherwise use the claim formand we review it manually. Free-mail addresses can't verify a claim.
What does the dashboard give me?
An applicant board (kanban), your interest inbox with response tracking, listing-health suggestions, funnel analytics with industry benchmarks, campaigns, events, messaging, a saved-talent CRM, and your own Health Score with concrete ways to lift it.
What is the Health Score and can I pay to improve it?
No — nothing on this platform sells trust. The score is computed from your directory footprint, how you treat candidates, transparency, and verified external signals (like DOL HIRE Vets Medallions). The fastest legitimate lift: respond to applicants. Methodology: /health-score.
How do I search the talent pool?
Sign in with an employer account and open Talent pool — filter by branch, MOS, clearance, availability date, location, and years of service. Save strong candidates to your CRM and invite them to your postings.
Can I message candidates directly?
Only candidates who contacted you first — applied, expressed interest, or accepted your invite. Invites you send from the talent pool also land in the candidate's in-app messages when they hold an account. Candidates can mute you permanently; that consent rule is what keeps the talent pool willing to be here.
What does it cost?
Everything is free during the pilot, including featured listings. Paid tiers are on the pricing page; trust signals are never for sale at any tier.
What's the counselor dashboard?
A per-installation view: every program within commuting distance of your base, virtual options, in-state fallbacks, zombie-listing warnings, and — with your members' opt-in — a cohort view of where your people are in their search.
How do I get access?
Counselor dashboards are login-gated and assigned per installation. Create an accountand choose "I'm a counselor," then email help@civichacking.org from your official address with your installation — we set your account to the counselor role for that base, usually within a business day. There's no self-serve path on purpose: cohort data deserves a human check.
Can I hand this to my members?
That's the point. The whole candidate side is free, no resume uploads, and works without an account until they apply. Point them at the directory and the candidate FAQ.
Something unanswered? Email help@civichacking.org — a human reads it. The about page covers how the platform works and the rules the data lives by.
