Foreman
The Foreman SkillBridge Intern supports field leadership by learning how to coordinate crews, manage daily jobsite activities, and uphold production and safety standards. This role is ideal for transitioning service members with leadership experience, strong communication skills, and an interest in supervising construction operations.Participants work directly with superintendents, project managers, and field teams to understand sequencing, quality control, and the operational flow of commercial construction projects.
Key responsibilities include: Assist in directing daily tasks, assigning labor, and ensuring crews stay productive and aligned with project goals. Support the superintendent in managing site activities, subcontractors, and workflow. Monitor workmanship, verify installation standards, and report issues promptly. Help lead safety briefings, enforce PPE requirements, and maintain a hazard free site. Assist with planning daily/weekly tasks and coordinating material and equipment needs. Contribute to daily logs, timekeeping, material tracking, and progress reporting. Identify obstacles and collaborate with leadership to maintain project momentum.
Open to all MOS / ratings / AFSCs.
Team management, mission execution, or operational oversight. Strong communication and situational awareness. Ability to read or learn to read construction drawings and scopes of work. Commitment to safety and disciplined execution. Ability to work outdoors, manage multiple tasks, and maintain professionalism under pressure. Experience leading teams in technical, mechanical, or engineering environments. Exposure to construction, facilities, or maintenance operations. Familiarity with basic construction tools, equipment, and terminology. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred but not required.
