Supply Chain Risk Management Program Manager - On-the-Job Training

WD's headquarters is located in San Jose, California. This position is primarily remote; however, occasional travel of up to 20% may be required based on business and operational needs. We are seeking a highly motivated Program Manager to support the Global Supply Chain Risk Management team. Positioned within the Centers of Excellence, you will play a key role in driving transformational initiatives that strengthen supply chain resilience, continuity, and risk mitigation across our global network. We are building the next-generation Program Management Office that redefines how risk strategy, execution, governance, and operational readiness intersect to protect and enable our global supply chain.The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of program management discipline, risk management expertise, accountability, execution excellence, and organizational change management capability. This role will partner closely with Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations, Engineering, and Business Continuity stakeholders to identify, assess, and mitigate supply chain risks while driving cross-functional programs that enhance resilience, visibility, and business continuity across the enterprise.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:This job is responsible for delivering the organization outcome as stated: • Risk Sensing: Establish systems to monitor potential global events that could impact the supply chain and quickly determine the likelihood of impact. • Risk Triage: Utilize internal and external systems and coordinate with supply chain teams and key suppliers to assess potential severity and impact on revenue and operations. • Communication and Mitigation: Lead development of impact assessments and regular communications to senior management on status. Coordinate cross functional “War Rooms” to determine and execute mitigation strategies. • Governance: Implement systems and defined roles to manage end to end issue resolution processes following Best in Class standards. • Analysis and Reporting: Monitor and report risk management performance metrics. Conduct in depth analysis to provide insights and recommendations. • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with procurement, operations, legal, finance, IT, and suppliers. Train stakeholders on risk management practices. • Training and Development: Develop and maintain documentation for processes, procedures, and policies. Provide education and training. • Technology Integration: Evaluate and implement technology solutions supporting risk management and analytics. Experience Requirements: • Proven track record in finance, procurement, supply chain, operations or similar.• Experience with procurement and risk management processes.Knowledge: • Proficient in data analysis tools. • Strong understanding of operational metrics and dashboard design. Skills: • Strong project management and cross functional leadership. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Executive level presentation capability. Abilities: • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and decision making ability. • Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. • Understanding of business priorities.

Preferred, but not required:• Program Management Professional (PMP) Training and/or Certification• Agile Training and/or Certification• Supply Chain, Risk Management, Logistics, and/or Procurement Experience
