Digital Marketing and Events Manager - Job Training Program
This position provides marketing and event support for the UTSI Huntsville Office, ensuring successful outreach and brand awareness at events and online. Responsibilities include planning and implementing in-person events, including UTSI-hosted events; booth setup/teardown; and managing online social media accounts, including developing online content for those accounts.
Marketing and Communication Management- Work with UTSI Huntsville Office team and Office Director to assess, prioritize, and continuously improve office operations and procedures regarding marketing, branding, social media, and communication outreach for the Huntsville Research Office Director. (kaizen)- This position will focus on storytelling to showcase the work of UTSI and the UTSI Huntsville Office.- Serves as the lead content writer and editor for strategic marketing communications to ensure brand consistency, style edits, structure, and flow.- Maintain memberships for office members in organizations through the Huntsville Community; i.e. HASBAT, HAMA, Chamber of Commerce.-Monitor the UTSI Huntsville central mailbox account, determine what is being requested and forward to staff to respond to requests from sponsors.-Maintain and update Huntsville Research Office customer CRM.-Develop and maintain database of possible events, organizations, and memberships/subscriptions.-Work with the UTSI and UTK Communications offices to develop other marketing materials as appropriate.-Other duties as needed.Digital Marketing-Develop and publish content for LinkedIn, Instagram and other social media platforms, supporting UTSI and UTSI Huntsville Office’s outreach and marketing efforts.-Maintains social media accounts, works to manage them in a positive light, and addresses any issues quickly, working with UTSI Huntsville Office to address issues quickly and professionally.-Identify and develop social media content, working with UTSI staff, including staff researchers to share stories of success and partnerships with government and industry partners.-Create and publish a professional monthly newsletter via email focused on the UTSI Huntsville market, highlighting key UTSI capabilities, successes, partnerships, and opportunities.Event Planning and Execution- Organize special events hosted by the Huntsville Research Office, such as VIP Tours, Meetings, Faculty/PM engagements, Capabilities Briefs - this involves coordinating with all participants, creating an agenda, ordering refreshments and/or lunch, and other tasks as appropriate.-Develop, plan, organize and implement business development related events in Huntsville and other markets to support our outreach efforts. This includes coordinating with host organizations, government champions, and corporate sponsors. Works to identify panelists and plan panels.-Coordinate Expo booth participation and plan conference engagement with UTSI and stakeholders; coordinating with UTSI participants to schedule key meetings, booth cover, and other conference engagement type activities for the team to have successful participation at the conference.Office Management- Advise the director of time-sensitive issues to ensure follow-up.- Assess and prioritizes office operations and procedures for the Huntsville Research Office Director.- Maintain membership for office members in organizations through the Huntsville Community: HASBAT, HAMA, Chamber of Commerce, etc.-Monitor the UTSI Huntsville central mailbox account, determine what is being requested and forward to staff to respond to requests from sponsors.-Complete travel arrangements for the Director, and other members of the Huntsville Research Office- Handle all procurement card usage for ordering items and keeping up with inventory. Use procurement card for office supplies, conference fees, and certain items for special events.-Other duties as needed.

Prefer Bachelor’s degree in business, communication, marketing, or a similar field with 2-5 years of relevant work experience.
