Train, live, and learn alongside fellow veterans in UHP’s 19-day Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) program. Our 800-acre campus in Northwest Arkansas brings together a 17,000-square-foot training facility, outdoor spaces, on-campus housing, and meals in a structured learning environment. Human Performance Coaches working in personal training help individuals and groups improve fitness and physical performance. Responsibilities include assessing client needs, designing exercise programs, demonstrating proper technique, monitoring progress, and adjusting training. Communication, motivation, and professional client relationships are central to the role. Employment settings include gyms, fitness centers, recreation facilities, and wellness organizations.Awarded Upon Graduation:UHP Certified Personal Trainer CertificateUHP Mental Health First Responder CertificateHSI Adult/Child/Infant CPR AED CertificationInternational Sports Sciences Association (ISSA) Certified Personal Trainer Certification Pathway Included! Enrollment in the FHP-CPT program also includes an ISSA Certified Personal Trainer certification opportunity. UHP covers the primary certification cost and provides students with ISSA-specific study materials in addition to UHP's 141-hour curriculum.ISSA CPT Course Final ExamUHP covers for the student to complete ISSA's online, open-note, non-proctored CPT examination which will result in the ISSA Certified Personal Trainer certification (upon passing).
1. Meet applicable military Service SkillBridge eligibility requirements and obtain required command approval before participation.2. Complete UHP’s admissions and enrollment requirements.3. Be available for the full 19-day, in-person cohort at UHP’s Northwest Arkansas campus.Prior professional fitness or personal training experience is not required.
The Soldier will reside on campus throughout the program and is responsible for providing their own transportation to campus on Day 1 and from campus on Day 19. Only these two trips are required, as on-campus housing eliminates the need for a daily commute.
