Technical Engineering Project Manager Internship (SIGINT) at the Applied Research Laboratory
The Technical Engineering Project Manager Internship (SIGINT) in the Multimodal Sensing and Systems Division of the All-Domain Analytics and Signatures Office (A2SO) at the Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) at Penn State assists in the day-to-day tactical execution of technical projects and/or sub-portion(s) of larger programs. Duties span production and end-to-end management of all aspects of technical programs, managing and supporting multi-disciplinary teams working on advanced research and development efforts; driving project execution and aligning outcomes with program objectives.
Internship specifics include all production and management of technical project schedules and work breakdown plans: Schedules and resource coordination; technical progress evaluation; development of project budgets, ROMS, and proposal estimates; project scope and budget management; issue tracking; metrics reporting; and program status communications.
Requirements include: Prior experience leading technical programs in cryptology, signals intelligence, and RF/secure communications; Past success collaborating in a multi-disciplinary team environment and at all levels of an organization; Proven ability to provide quality results with minimal supervision; Proven ability writing reports to convey status and metrics to program sponsors; Success presenting to senior level audience.
Requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant experience. Current eligibility for access to classified information at the TS/SCI level.
