Buying Assistant Internship at the Applied Research Lab (ARL)
The Procurement Associate Internship in the Purchasing Department of the Business Services Office at the Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) at Penn State assists ARL Purchasing Agents with the preparation of purchase orders for various goods and services.
Internship specifics include: Processing invoices received against purchase orders, ensuring accuracy of invoices and terms, resolving discrepancies when necessary; issuing requests for quotation of specific goods and services; assist with low dollar value purchases; working closely with internal departments; and collaborating with vendors regarding payment status and contract information.
Requirements include: Procurement or Accounting experience; Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; Past success collaborating in a multi-disciplinary team environment; Proven ability to provide quality results with minimal supervision; Proven ability to quickly and accurately learn and implement new tasks. Current eligibility for access to classified information at the Secret level or higher. Must be a U.S. citizen to apply.
