Program summary

Provide training and work experience in a mentorship environment to transitioning military members interested in working in ship repair as a Production Controller (Planner).

Roles & job description

- Develop and provide Technical Work Documents in accordance with Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual that are used for shipboard repairs.- Perform ship work requests screening through ship checks.- Submit ship work request reject recommendation when work requests are identified as invalid through validation.- Perform research of technical procedures and material requirements.- Develop a material list for each work request for requisition.- Submit Engineering Service Requests as necessary when existing technical guidance are insufficient to accomplish repairs.- Liaison with shop supervisors to support fluctuating workload requirements through reallocation of resources.- Operate software programs required in the performance of duties. To include but not limited to WebAim, Logiquest, Navy Onetouch, and Windchill.- Performs other related duties as assigned.
