Novo Nordisk's Metrology/Calibration Technician SkillBridge Program provides transitioning service members with hands-on training in pharmaceutical manufacturing within a regulated cGMP environment. Participants develop technical skills in metrology, calibration, instrumentation, preventive maintenance, quality systems, and regulatory compliance while working alongside experienced professionals. Upon successful completion, participants are prepared to transition into full-time Metrology/Calibration Technician opportunities with Novo Nordisk or other leading employers in North Carolina's life sciences industry.
The Metrology/Calibration Technician is responsible for calibrating, maintaining, and troubleshooting production and laboratory instrumentation used in pharmaceutical manufacturing. This role supports equipment reliability, product quality, and regulatory compliance by performing calibration, preventive maintenance, documentation, and basic troubleshooting in a cGMP-regulated environment. Working alongside experienced technicians, participants develop the technical skills necessary to transition into a full-time Metrology/Calibration Technician position.

Applicants must intend to relocate to North Carolina upon separation from military service. MOVE Boots to Biotech partners with a statewide network of North Carolina life sciences employers to maximize participants' opportunities for full-time employment.
Based on individual experience, some internship opportunities may include the BioWork Certificate Program to help close technical skills gaps. BioWork scholarships are funded by the MOVE employer network, allowing eligible participants to complete the training at no cost and preserve their GI Bill benefits.
