Management and Engineering Technologies International, Inc. (METI) is a distinguished professional services company delivering Information Technology and Engineering Support Services to both the federal sector and private industry across the United States and in a number of other countries. We are urgently hiring for an Availability Project Manager (APM) for our United States Coast Guard (USCG) Hull, Mechanical and Electrical (HM&E) /APM contract. METI boasts a senior management team with extensive experience supporting a wide range of contracts within the federal government and private industry. At METI, you will have the opportunity to use cutting-edge technology and management processes while working on projects that make a difference to our clients. This position is based primarily in Seattle, Washington, with the possibility of part-time telework. Employees are expected to work on-site 1-2 days per week, with flexibility for remote work during the remaining days, based on project needs and in coordination with the team. Full remote work is not available for this role.

You will utilize your knowledge of the principles, practices, and techniques of ship repair—including drydocking, dock and sea trials, non-destructive testing, and other marine industry-specific processes—to coordinate and facilitate new and ongoing projects that support the USCG mission. You will employ a strong understanding of commercial and military standards to ensure successful outcomes for the Coast Guard customer. A working knowledge of Coast Guard Instructions and logistics tools will be beneficial as you enforce ship repair standards, policies, and procedures for associated projects. You will conduct planned vessel assessments to develop a planned availability work list. You will efficiently operate office equipment, such as computers, scanners, and fax machines, and effectively use Microsoft Office applications. You will communicate in both oral and written English to present and defend technical recommendations, facilitate consensus, prepare memoranda and position papers, deliver briefings, and advise management officials. You will attend meetings and conferences as required by the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) and provide a written summary of each. You will apply your working knowledge of the Fleet Logistics System (FLS) to plan and execute corrective and preventive maintenance actions. You will read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical publications, and directives. You will climb ladders, access voids, and navigate small shipboard spaces to identify needed hull, mechanical, and electrical (HM&E) repairs.
