LaunchPoint Electric Propulsion Solutions is seeking a transitioning service member to participate in a hands-on SkillBridge training opportunity supporting business development and sales activities within the aerospace and advanced manufacturing industry. The participant will gain practical experience in market research, customer and competitor analysis, lead generation, sales pipeline development, customer outreach, proposal support, and coordination of strategic growth initiatives. Working alongside LaunchPoint’s leadership and technical teams, the participant will learn how business development efforts support the commercialization of advanced electric propulsion and power-generation technologies. This opportunity is designed for individuals interested in applying their military experience, communication skills, analytical abilities, and operational knowledge in a fast-paced technical business environment.

Roles & job description

The Business Development Coordinator SkillBridge participant will support LaunchPoint Electric Propulsion Solutions’ business development, sales, and strategic growth activities while receiving structured, hands-on training in the aerospace and advanced manufacturing industry. Working closely with company leadership, engineering personnel, and business development staff, the participant will assist with identifying market opportunities, researching prospective customers and industry partners, and supporting the development of new business relationships.Responsibilities and training activities may include conducting market and competitor research; identifying and qualifying prospective customers; maintaining lead, customer, and opportunity information; assisting with customer outreach and follow-up; supporting sales presentations, proposals, capability statements, and other business development materials; researching government, defense, aerospace, and commercial contracting opportunities; coordinating meetings and communications with prospective customers and partners; and helping track business development initiatives. The participant may also collaborate with technical teams to develop a working understanding of LaunchPoint’s electric propulsion, motor, generator, and power-generation technologies and translate technical information into clear, customer-focused materials. Additional activities may include supporting industry-event preparation, developing market and customer reports, assisting with strategic planning projects, and completing other business development assignments aligned with the approved SkillBridge training plan.Through this opportunity, the participant will gain practical experience in aerospace business development, technical sales, customer relationship management, market analysis, proposal support, cross-functional collaboration, and professional communication.
