Roles & job description

Human Systems Integration (HSI) Expertise: Deliver comprehensive HSI functions across Human Factors Engineering, Habitability, System Safety, Manpower and Personnel, Human Performance Support, and Training domains. Contribute to all project phases, from early conceptual work to contract design, ensuring optimal integration of HSI elements in system and ship designs. Research, Development, and Testing: Lead and participate in detailed research and design projects. Develop and implement humancentered designs, using testing and modeling to validate and improve usability, safety, and efficiency of ship systems. Ensure all solutions align with HSI standards and best practices. Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with various stakeholders, including engineering teams, project managers, and end users, to identify areas of improvement in ship design. Recommend enhancements that account for human performance, safety, and system interactions, incorporating them into ship specifications. Systems and Space Studies: Conduct thorough analyses of ship systems and spaces, focusing on how humans interact with these elements. Address factors like habitability, system safety, manpower, and human performance support in your studies. Implement study results to optimize space design, reducing human error and improving efficiency. Integration into Ship Specifications: Incorporate the results of HSI studies into ship specifications and design, ensuring that recommendations are implemented to improve human interaction with systems. This includes ergonomic considerations, accessibility, safety protocols, and other humancentered design principles.
