NC Firefighter (Fire Academy) - Job Training Program
NC Firefighter (Fire Academy) course provides candidates the knowledge, skills, and ability to satisfy the requirements of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1001 Standard for Firefighter Professional Qualifications, Emergency Medical requirements of NFPA 1001 Chapter 6, and NFPA 1072 Standard for Hazardous Materials/Weapons of Mass Destruction Emergency Response Personnel Qualifications.
Respond to emergency and non-emergency incidents; provide appropriate services as required including emergency rescue and fire suppression; perform search and rescue for trapped or injured persons; perform emergency medical and first aid services as needed; prepare reports regarding emergency incidents as assigned.
