DFC Manufacturing Group Skilled Trades Training Program
DFC Manufacturing Group is offering a Department of Defense SkillBridge training opportunity for transitioning service members interested in pursuing a career in skilled trades and manufacturing. This 180-day, hands-on training program provides structured experience in die making, including tooling, assembly, and production processes. Participants will work alongside experienced team members to develop mechanical skills, safety awareness, and an understanding of manufacturing operations.This program is a training opportunity and not a traditional employment role. Service members remain on active duty and continue to receive pay and benefits from the Department of Defense during participation.
Participants in this SkillBridge program will receive hands-on training in die making within a production environment. Training will include:Reading and interpreting CAD drawings, layouts, and job ticketsMeasuring, cutting, bending, and installing steel ruleAssembling dies, strippers, and related toolingUsing hand tools and specialized equipment safelyPerforming visual and dimensional quality inspectionsIdentifying defects and supporting troubleshooting effortsMaintaining organized work areas and following production workflowsDocumenting work completed in ERP or production systemsThe program follows a structured 180-day training progression, beginning with safety and foundational skills and advancing toward independent contribution. Participants will be evaluated based on safety, technical skill development, quality, and overall readiness.
