Visual Information Specialist

Members of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency’s Office of the Chief External Affairs Officer (EA) work to communicate the agency’s role in ensuring the security, resiliency, and reliability of the nation’s cyber and physical infrastructure. Members will support CISA and EA by planning, designing, developing, producing, and coordinating the production of visual and digital information materials for diverse audiences.Members will serve as Graphic Designer, photo and video specialists, supporting a state-of-the-art visual information program, which includes the preparation of illustrative material, graphics, infographics, animations, layout and design, photo and video acquisition, and post-production functions. Members will serve as technical experts on production matters, such as electronic layout and design; graphics (charts, illustrations, schematics, etc.); photo and video acquisition editing and production.
• Coordinate and design still and animated graphics, developing visual information and graphics to produce CISA-wide products. • Provides photo, video and editing support.• Provide support in area such as electronic layout and design; graphics (charts, illustrations, schematics, etc.). • Operate a personal computer-based (MAC and/or PC) desktop publishing system to prepare a variety of visual communications and presentation materials. • Ensure designs and visual elements support strategic communication objectives, convey messages to appropriate target audiences, and meet CISA and DHS visual standards and style guides.• Prepare, design, and produce digital media including animations and motion graphics for digital and social media platforms. • Plan, record, and perform post-production development of video projects. • Design 3D assets and environments for digital media usage. • Provide audiovisual support for livestreams and virtual engagements. • Manage multiple products simultaneously , ensuring deadlines are met and leadership is kept abreast of status.• Supports as a graphic designer, Photographer, Broadcaster, or animation specialist.
Must have Secret Clearance. DINFOS graduates and at least 5 years of public affairs experience required.
