Program summary

THIS POSITION REQUIRES PARTICIPANT TO BE IN EITHER PHILADELPHIA, PA OR AN EASTERN TIME ZONE DHS FACILITY! A member of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency’s Region 3 team supports CISAs efforts to enhance the security, resiliency, and reliability of the Nation’s cyber and physical infrastructure. Students will learn the centralized cybersecurity and infrastructure protection programs that support a diverse mission and workforce that spans CISA Region 3 (PA, DE, MD, DC, VA, WV).

Roles & job description

Assist in the build out of solutions that enable the organization to effectively find, store, display, and automate relevant information, content, and processes both externally to Region 3 employees and internally to cybersecurity team. Assist with the development of a knowledge management structure, navigation plan and framework with clear intuitive navigation structure that incorporates the management and storage of multiple data sources such as: meeting minutes/agendas, important links slide decks, incident response contacts, training resources, operational planning guides and cyber threat intelligence sharing mechanisms. Work across groups, collaborating internally with identified and interested POCs to help improve knowledge sharing in the organization by creating and updating SharePoint sites and Dynamics 365. Assist with maintaining and updating PowerBI Dashboards, perform Quality Assurance and Quality Control checks on data sources, dashboard displays and widgets. Collaborates with leadership to capture automation ideas and use automation tools such as PowerAutomate, Power Apps and existing SharePoint Capabilities to automate existing processes. Implement automation solutions, workflows and processes. Ability to effectively document processes, procedures, and external references. Assist with questions and troubleshooting, conduct technical research, proactively create solutions for identified problem areas. Assist with the design, coding, and maintenance of MS Office 365 Based Applications UIs (look and feel), such as Power Automate to automate workflows for document approvals, task assignments, and information updates. Lists and taskers to use SharePoint lists for task tracking and ensure that taskers are integrated to streamline operations. Interactive Dashboards by leveraging Power BI for visualizing data trends and insights related to cybersecurity activities. Proactively test new solutions/implementations.

Eligibility notes

THIS POSITION REQUIRES PARTICIPANT TO BE IN EITHER PHILADELPHIA, PA OR AN EASTERN TIME ZONE DHS FACILITY! Requirements: Secret Clearance. Minimum 1 year experience in fields related to communications and knowledge management. Demonstrated Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, Problem solving abilities. Ability to effectively document processes, procedures, and external reference documentation. Familiar with knowledge management tools (including but not limited to SharePoint, O365 Suite, Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI). Enjoys interacting across groups (internal stakeholder interaction) to come up with effective solutions, performs solution testing, and training. BONUS QUALIFICATIONS: Low code skills for MS Power Platform, and Report creation experience in Power BI using data from multiple sources
