Job Description: Cyber Security AnalystThe Cyber Security Analyst protects organizational systems, networks, and data by monitoring security events, responding to incidents, and implementing defensive controls. This role works closely with IT, compliance, and leadership to strengthen security posture, reduce risk, and ensure alignment with regulatory and organizational requirements.

Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor security tools, SIEM dashboards, and network activity to identify threats, anomalies, and indicators of compromiseInvestigate security incidents, perform root‑cause analysis, and coordinate containment and remediation actionsConduct vulnerability assessments, track findings, and support patch management to reduce exploitable risksImplement and maintain security controls including endpoint protection, access management, and network segmentationReview logs, alerts, and audit data to ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standardsSupport development and refinement of security policies, procedures, and incident response playbooksCollaborate with IT teams to validate system hardening, configuration baselines, and secure architecture practicesPrepare reports, metrics, and documentation for leadership, audits, and continuous improvement initiativesQualificationsExperience in cybersecurity operations, incident response, or security monitoringStrong understanding of network security, threat analysis, and common attack vectorsFamiliarity with SIEM platforms, endpoint security tools, and vulnerability scannersKnowledge of NIST, HIPAA, DoD, or other relevant security frameworksStrong analytical, communication, and documentation skillsAbility to manage sensitive information with discretion and sound judgment
