ATS Workforce Development & Technical Training

Aviation Technical Services provides transitioning Active Duty Service Members with a structured SkillBridge training experience in aviation logistics, materials management, warehouse operations, inventory control, and supply-chain support at our Everett, Washington facility.Participants complete a combination of ATS orientation, classroom instruction, hands-on demonstrations, supervised on-the-job training, weekly coaching, and practical exposure to the logistics functions that support commercial aircraft maintenance.Key training components include workplace and warehouse safety, aircraft-parts identification, inventory systems, receiving, stocking, issuing, material movement, documentation, parts traceability, rotable-component tracking, maintenance support, inventory auditing, vendor coordination, material planning, regulatory compliance, and operational workflow.The program is designed to help participants translate military supply, logistics, transportation, inventory, warehouse, and material-management experience into civilian aviation careers.

As a SkillBridge Participant – Logistics and Materials, the Service Member will train alongside ATS logistics, materials, warehouse, and supply-chain professionals supporting aircraft maintenance operations.Training and supervised responsibilities may include:Receiving, identifying, inspecting, tagging, stocking, staging, issuing, returning, and tracking aircraft parts, tools, supplies, and raw materialsLearning ATS inventory-control systems, warehouse procedures, shelf-life controls, and cycle-count processesReviewing shipping, receiving, certification, inventory, and traceability documentationSupporting maintenance teams with parts pulls, work-order material requirements, shortages, and urgent aircraft-on-ground needsGaining exposure to rotable-component tracking, repair cycles, vendor coordination, purchasing requests, and material planningUsing approved pallet jacks, hand trucks, forklifts, and other material-handling equipment after completing required trainingLearning ATS safety, quality, customer, and regulatory-compliance requirementsParticipating in operational meetings and process-improvement activitiesCoordinating with maintenance, planning, production control, shipping, receiving, and purchasing teamsReceiving weekly mentoring, feedback, and progress reviewsDemonstrating inventory accuracy, communication, reliability, safe work practices, and readiness for possible full-time employmentProspective full-time ATS career paths may include Logistics Specialist, Materials Coordinator, Warehouse Specialist, Inventory Specialist, Shipping and Receiving Specialist, Material Handler, Supply-Chain Coordinator, and other aviation-logistics-related positions.

This is an unpaid SkillBridge training opportunity. Participants remain Active Duty Service Members during the program. Successful completion does not guarantee employment. Employment consideration will depend on performance, qualifications, available openings, and business needs.
