Veterans Florida Agriculture Training - Internship Program
The Veterans Florida Agriculture Program is a six-month training fellowship that provides veterans and servicemembers a comprehensive, hands-on experience and equips you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to be competitive for leading careers in Florida's $149 Billion agriculture industry. The training takes place at the University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS) Research and Education Center facilities located across Florida. The Institute is a research pioneer and its innovations in food safety, crop production, and disease-resistant plants have played a vital role in advancing the industry. Veterans Florida will work with participants to further their career at an agribusiness or working farm or ranch after completing the training. Open to veterans and transitioning servicemembers.
Upon completion of the program tailored to your interests you can pursue employment in agriculture, farming, ranching, fishing, pest control, land planning and use, farm and heavy equipment maintenance, agriculture services, and related industries. Many graduates apply their knowledge at their own farms and other agriculture related businesses.
Open to all MOS / ratings / AFSCs.
