SkyWarrior - Internship Program
The goal of this internship is to provide the DoD SkillBridge Intern with the training necessary to successfully graduate into a Senior-Level Airplane Mechanic role. By leveraging the intern's experience and SkyWarrior Aircraft Maintenance training, a career with SkyWarrior Aircraft maintenance could begin as soon as the intern departs active duty. Orientation/Integration/Company Familiarization - Weeks 1 – 2 Introduction to Manufacturing - Weeks 3 - 6 Introduction to Sheet Metal Assembly Operations & Requirements - Weeks 7 - 9 Final Assembly Line Operations - Weeks 10 - 12 Final Assembly Line Operations - Weeks 13 - 14 Flight Line Familiarization & Operations - Weeks 15 - 16 Retraining and Evaluation Period - Weeks 17 - 26 By the end of this period the intern should be able to perform the duties and assignments of all areas of operations covered above within SkyWarrior Aircraft Maintenance. During the last week of this period the interns performance will be honestly evaluated and a possible job offer could be made depending on performance and the company’s needs. The Intern should expect to understand exactly where their future role with the company would be and how to complete the duties and assignments of that role in a satisfactory manner. If applicable Salary and benefits will be discussed and planned out carefully at this point.
Aircraft maintenance technicians and supervisors.
Open to all MOS / ratings / AFSCs.
High School Diploma or equivalent 4+ years documented aircraft maintenance experience Ability to pass background and drug screenings
