PRIMARY RESPONSBILITIES:- Perform routine and scheduled aircraft inspections in accordance with FAA regulations and company maintenance programs.- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.- Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure aircraft are safe, airworthy, and ready for service.- Read and interpret technical manuals, engineering documents, service bulletins, and maintenance logs.- Remove, repair, and reinstall aircraft components such as panels, control surfaces, and landing gear.- Utilize specialized tools and diagnostic equipment to verify system performance and resolve discrepancies.- Accurately complete maintenance records, work orders, and compliance documentation.- Collaborate with fellow technicians, inspectors, and supervisors to meet project timelines and operational requirements.- Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to all safety protocols, including hazardous material handling.TOP CANDIDATES WILL POSSESS:- 4+ years related experience in aircraft maintenance, mechanical systems repair, or technical troubleshooting- Experience in an MRO, airline, or aerospace maintenance environment- Familiarity with FAA Part 145 operations (depot/hangar level maintenance) and documentation- Strong understanding of basic mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic principles- Ability to read and follow technical manuals, schematics, and regulatory documentation- Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment- Basic computer skills for documentation and work order entry- Strong safety awareness and ability to handle tools and materials safely- Ability to work independently and within a teamOTHER REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:- Ability to routinely lift up to 50 lbs., work in confined spaces and in noisy environments- Ability to occasionally travel for work assignments- Ability to maintain a tool inventory in alignment with shop requirements- Ability to obtain and retain an airport AOA badge- Ability to work overtime and various shifts as business needs requireWHY JOIN ELLIOTT:At Elliott Aviation, you're not just joining a company, you are becoming part of a legacy built on service, craftsmanship, and trust. This SkillBridge program provides transitioning service members with hands-on training in a commercial aviation Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) environment. Participants work alongside experienced technicians while learning aviation maintenance procedures, safety practices, and regulatory compliance used in the civilian aviation industry.Phase 1 – Orientation & Safety (Weeks 1–2)• Hangar safety procedures and OSHA standards• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)• Foreign Object Debris (FOD) prevention• Tool control programs• Aircraft maintenance documentation systemsPhase 2 – Systems Familiarization (Weeks 3–6)• Aircraft systems overview• Aircraft inspection procedures• Maintenance manuals and technical documentation• Basic component removal and installationPhase 3 – Maintenance Operations (Weeks 7–16)• Scheduled aircraft inspections• Aircraft servicing procedures• Component removal and installation• Maintenance documentation and work cardsPhase 4 – Advanced Training & Workforce Integration (Weeks 17–24)• Aircraft system diagnostics• Maintenance workflow coordination• Quality and safety compliance• Exposure to supervisory or advanced technical responsibilitiesExpected Outcomes:Participants will develop operational leadership skills required for supervisory roles within commercial aviation maintenance operations.
