The Warranty Administrator Service Liaison (WASL), after all training experience, will be affective at submitting all warranty claims needing processed through the Service Department. This will include communicating with the technicians to determine the cause of warrantable repairs needed, ensuring all components on the Repair Order (RO) are correct before providing the required notes and documentation to the manufacturers for warranty approval, communicating with the manufacturers after submission to be an advocate for the customer and dealership for receiving an approval and appealing any warrantable declines through taught skills, and, lastlty, communicating submission results to the service advisors and shop foreman to continue the repair process. Alongside warranty submissions, this position would also be the Liaison between service technicians and the Parts Department by providing assistance with retrieving the parts associated to repair orders being completed by the technicians for the day. This promotes efficiency for the service department and technicians individually by alleviating the down time of waiting at the service counter for parts while also creating a more streamline process for the parts department providing parts to the service department.
