UPMC is the largest non-governmental employer in Pennsylvania with over 95,000 employees. Our SkillBridge positions are mainly internship programs to provide participants both specific and general exposure to the company and the vast opportunities within it. Although UPMC is primarily known for its hospitals and clinical roles, it has all the functions of a large organization ranging from administration to project management to supply to IT. Our SkillBridge roles are suited for all ranks and services and levels of experience.
UPMC has thousands of job titles and positions. To give a sense of the myriad opportunities present, there are positions related to: nursing, clinical roles, project management, safety, commercial real estate, cyber, IT, supply chain, administration, operations, communications, marketing, sales, product development, skilled trades, facilities maintenance, MEDEVAC helicopter pilots, airfield operations, food service, security, electronic equipment repair, finance, and service coordination. The previous list is provided to show that there is almost certainly something for everyone.
