Program summary

The USI Bootcamp is a specifically designed workforce development program for the unmanned aircraft systems industry. Participants will achieve the knowledge, hands on training and flight skills and proficiency required by commercial operators of unmanned aircraft. Successful participants will be adequately prepared to test for the FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate (offered separately by the FAA) which allows them to conduct commercial operations in the United States under FAR Part 107.

Roles & job description

Commercial, Public Safety, military and academic uses of drones is increasing across many industry sectors. Specifically, qualified and certificated drone pilots are in demand within the agriculture, energy, utility, construction, insurance and communications industries as well as by numerous public service agencies around the country.

Open to all MOS / ratings / AFSCs.

Additional notes

There are numerous bases withing the Florida Panhandle that would be convenient locations for the short period of on-site flight training and may also qualify for various different funding sources for the participants.
