There are 4 opportunities available.This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS); Office of Partnership and Engagement (OPE). The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Partnership and Engagement Specialist within OPE. The incumbent is responsible to support a variety of Partnership and Engagement activities. Provides support to a variety of Partnership and Engagement activities, relating to administrative, research and analytical duties and a variety to liaison activities and special assignments related to the mission and functions of the office.
There are 4 opportunities available.Researches, evaluates, prioritizes-, and recommends solutions to problems issues encountered in intergovernmental affairs. Provides support to a variety of Partnership and Engagement activities, relating to administrative, research and analytical duties and a variety to liaison activities and special assignments related to the mission and functions of the office. Assists in developing and maintaining ongoing effective contact with SLTT officials and their staffs. Responds to administrative and programmatic problems brought to the attention of the supervisor and relieves the supervisor of interruptions and demands on his/her time by independently handling matters or coordinating with the appropriate individual(s). Drafts correspondence and DHS legislative documents and related material along with printed media for outside distribution. Works with Partnership and Engagement staff on strategizing, designing and implementing advocacy efforts in support of projects and initiatives. Assists in coordinating actions, which may require review and analysis of legislation, and regulatory actions that may affect SLTT offices and transmit information to SLTT officials and their staffs as appropriate. Participates in special projects and initiatives and performs special assignments. Drafts briefings and reports; responses to queries; and drafts background papers
