Risk Management Specialist

Roles & job description

Conducts development, implementation, and evaluation of risk management strategies tied to crop and livestock insurance. Provides technical direction and coordination in delivering the program, ensuring policies meet both farmer needs and regulatory standards. Reviews, interprets, and applies Federal statutes, regulations, insurance policy provisions, and procedures to day-to-day program delivery. Develops, updates, or clarifies policy handbooks, bulletins, and outreach materials to ensure AIPs (Approved Insurance Providers) and field staff understand procedural requirements, without making policy changes themselves. Interprets complex program requirements and assist in resolving implementation issues during rollout of new or modified policies.
