Travel and Events Division (TED) performs a full range of travel support, administration and event-related procurements for all Executive Office of the President (EOP) components including the travel card program, travel help desk, premium class travel, and passport support services.
TED seeks individuals who have experience, and are interested, in supporting a wide range of administrative and financial assignments involving travel and events.All travel and events experience will be considered with priority given to candidates with knowledge of Federal Travel Regulation (FTR) and demonstrated experience using MS Excel; performing financial reviews (requiring knowledge of various financial, accounting, budget and related principles and concepts) to assist in producing accurate financial and operational data; supporting international travel services including providing visa guidance and liaising with the Department of State and foreign Embassies; writing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and guidelines for financial operations related to travel operations for compliance with Federal financial standards and operational program requirements.
Pre-employment drug test; eligibility for TS clearance. U.S. Citizen, minimum 18 years of age, and must meet at least one of the following criteria: Are currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at a college, community college, or university (two-to-four-year institution) and have completed two semesters before the internship start date. Have graduated from an undergraduate or graduate degree program at a college, community college, or university (two- or four- year institution) no more than two years before the internship program start date. Are a veteran of the United States Armed Forces who possesses a high school diploma or its equivalent and has served on active duty for any length of time in the two years preceding the internship program start date.
OA supports the President of the United States and the EOP through the execution of finance, information technology, human resources, facilities management, logistics, procurement, security, and legal services.
