Roles & job description

<p><strong>SkillBridge internship positions are subject to availability.</strong> New internship positions can be added depending on the demand. Our 90- to 180-day On-the-Job Training (OJT) program (duration varies by branch and rank) provides hands on, real world training led by experienced industry professionals.</p><p>Participants receive structured instruction, coaching, and mentorship while applying skills directly in <li><strong>Facilities Services:</strong> maintenance, repair, and cleaning services of campus buildings; locksmiths; solid waste and recycling operations; event support; and a 24/7 service center.</li><li><strong>Grounds and Landscape:</strong> grounds maintenance, design, urban forestry, irrigation, and pest control.</li><li><strong>Operational Safety and Compliance:</strong> Environmental Health and Safety, building standards, fire prevention and compliance, and emergency response.</li><li><strong>Planning, Design and Construction:</strong> delivering renovation, infrastructure, and new construction projects; design and construction work; GIS; asset data; intake and strategic planning.</li><li><strong>Utilities and Energy Management:</strong> generation and distribution of electricity, chilled water, steam, and heating hot water with a world-recognized district energy system.</li><li><strong>Business Office: budget generation; financial reporting; issuance and management of construction contracts. </strong></li></ul><p><strong>If you are interested in joining Campus Operations and Planning at <font color="#BF5700">The University of Texas at Austin</font>, please email us at skillbridge@austin.utexas.edu </strong></p>
