Program summary

Woodworking team member will participate in the crafting of custom wood products including countertops, tables, wooden stools, hollow box and solid wood shelves as well as a variety of wood-based products. Additionally, Skillbridge team member will have the opportunity to learn the mechanics of inventory, production schedules, profit and loss offsets, among other aspects of running a small business.

Roles & job description

Woodworking team members will learn:- Competency in general woodworking and woodworking machine setup with a focus on quality and safety.- Acquire skills in reading architectural design documents with attention to detail and producing high-quality woodworking products.- Collaborate with others using critical thinking skills and a positive attitude.- Well-honed communications skills and initiative within the bounds of assigned work and exhibit high personal standards for the quality of work.

Target military occupations

Open to all MOS / ratings / AFSCs.
