Account Executive - Risk Management
The Account Executive (“AE”) in Risk Management provides support to the producers and account managers of the Risk Management Division. The focus of this position is to ensure outstanding customer service to existing clients and new business acquisition. The AE will participate in the marketing/marketing renewal process and collaborate with producers and account managers to make decisions about client presentations. The AE makes certain the clients’ needs are met in a timely manner and must be willing to assume full responsibility for client retention. Finally, the AE is expected to contribute to the growth of their assigned book of business by cross selling additional risk management related products and services as well as other Summit Divisions. The AE will also be responsible for producing new business for Summit. This will be achieved by seeking out prospective new clients and formally managing the sales process through Summit’s CRM system, overseeing implementation, and renewal processes. The EA will be responsible for meeting management expectations.
• Operate as the lead point of contact and relationship manager for an assigned book of business.• Coordinate timelines and deadlines with producers, clients/prospects, account managers and other team members for all presentations and plan updates. • Collaborate with account managers, operations and producers to respond to RFP’s, evaluate carrier proposals, and determine which options are most suitable for clients.• Participate in enrollment and/or education meetings and plan reviews. Keep producers informed of any changes within client base such as personnel changes and new acquisitions. • Proactively contact clients with courtesy communication to ensure plans are running smoothly and address any questions. Send out updates regarding industry, carrier, legislative, newsletters, and invitations to seminars.• Coordinate with account managers to prepare onboarding and renewal communication materials, and finalize a successful implementation process.• Actively stay informed of insurance products, plans, representative and insurance regulations change through industry communications, meetings, webinars and continuing education.• Develop and maintain strategic working relationships with carriers.• Oversee issue-resolution between client and vendor/carriers.• Use CRM to manage client files and record all activity with clients and prospects for review by leadership.• Recognize areas of weakness, provide suggestions, and update documentation for process improvement.• Manage multiple facets of the sales process, including coordination of meetings, support materials, follow-up tasks, phone calls, proposals, presentations, closing business, etc.• Prospect, schedule and conduct appointments with prospects and recommend and implement plan/policy strategies. • Explain features, advantages, and disadvantages of various policies to promote sale of plans.• Continuously stay abreast of insurance products, plans, representative and insurance regulation changes through industry communications, meetings, webinars and continuing education. • Mentors and trains junior-level staff.• Perform related responsibilities and general administrative duties as required or assigned.
• Experience using Microsoft Office 365; Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint and Dynamics preferred• Active state general lines property and casualty license (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire)
