Project Manager

STS Defense Solutions is a growing defense contractor delivering mission-focused solutions to DoD and federal customers. This SkillBridge opportunity places transitioning service members in a hands-on Project Manager role, supporting program execution across government contracts, operational initiatives, and client engagements.This is not a purely administrative role. Participants will actively support planning, execution, stakeholder coordination, and delivery of defense-related projects in a dynamic environment.The Project Manager SkillBridge intern will assist in managing schedules, tracking deliverables, coordinating cross-functional teams, and supporting customer-facing engagements tied to federal and defense programs.This opportunity is ideal for service members interested in transitioning into project/program management within the defense industry.

STS Defense Solutions delivers mission-critical services to DoD and federal clients. The Project Manager supports the planning, execution, and delivery of programs aligned with defense operations and contracting requirements.This is a hands-on execution role, where participants will work directly with leadership, clients, and internal teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with mission objectives.We are seeking individuals who:• Take ownership of mission outcomes• Communicate clearly and confidently• Operate effectively in dynamic environments• Apply military leadership experience to business executionA SOF background is beneficial for understanding mission requirements and operational environments, but it is not mandatory.

Open to all MOS / ratings / AFSCs.

While not required, experience in project management, operations, logistics, planning, or DoD/federal contracting environments is preferred, along with prior responsibility for coordinating teams or leading initiatives. Special Operations Forces (SOF) experience is highly valued due to its alignment with mission execution and operational planning, but it is not mandatory. A bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required, as equivalent military experience will be fully considered; certifications such as PMP, CAPM, or Agile/Scrum credentials are a plus. Candidates should be comfortable working with senior leaders and stakeholders, able to take ownership of deliverables with minimal supervision, and eligible to work in the United States following separation.
