The ATAK System Operations Specialist provides comprehensive operational, technical, and user support for the Android Team Awareness Kit (ATAK) platform. This role ensures optimal system performance, user readiness, and mission effectiveness by conducting system testing, developing documentation, delivering training, and providing end-to-end customer support. The specialist will serve as a key liaison between users, system administrators, and development teams to enhance ATAK capabilities and adoption.
System Testing• Conduct functional, regression, and performance testing of ATAK builds, plug-ins, and integrations.• Validate compatibility across devices, OS versions, networks, and operational environments.• Document and track defects through resolution; participate in test planning and execution.System Feedback & Improvement• Provide structured feedback on system usability, workflows, and performance.• Collaborate with development teams to refine and prioritize features and enhancements.• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts aligned with operational requirements.Training & User Enablement• Develop and deliver in-person or virtual ATAK training sessions for end users and administrators.• Create and maintain training materials, including quick start guides, presentations, and tutorials.• Update curricula to reflect new releases and system changes.Documentation• Author and maintain user guides, SOPs, technical references, and workflow documentation.• Ensure accuracy, accessibility, and version control for all materials.• Translate complex technical content into user-friendly resources.System Monitoring• Monitor ATAK system performance, network connectivity, and plug-in behavior.• Track usage metrics, health indicators, and operational anomalies.• Provide proactive recommendations for system optimization.End-to-End Customer Support• Serve as the primary support point of contact for ATAK users.• Triage, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues within defined service levels.• Coordinate with developers and system administrators for escalations.• Maintain detailed support logs and communication records.
