Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Computer Technician to join our team. As a Computer Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining computer hardware and software systems. Your expertise in troubleshooting and problem-solving will be essential in providing excellent technical support to our customers. This role is located in Hayward California and is onsite. Remote is not possible.
Responsibilities:- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues servers and desktops- Install, configure, and upgrade computer components and software applications- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as system updates, virus scans, and data backups- Provide technical support to the company- Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot complex technical problems- Maintain accurate records of repairs, inventory, and customer interactions- Maintain the Hayward lab in an orderly and organized space. Experience: To be successful in this role, you should have the following experience:- Proven experience as a Computer Technician or similar role- Strong knowledge of computer hardware components and peripherals- Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows, Mac OS, and Android- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals- Experience in retail sales or field service is a plus- Previous experience in equipment repair is highly desirable.
