Sonepar Counter Sales Training Program-12 WeeksThe primary goal of this training program is to provide a comprehensive learning experience for new or seasoned Counter Sales Associates, that includes online training, job shadowing, manager guidance and support, and a structured timeline, so that Counter Sales Associates become more productive, sooner.Program OverviewThe Counter Sales Training Program is a 12 Week structured program, where the manager, associate and others work in a collaborative manner to ensure a successful training experience. And though this training program isn’t necessarily a one-size-fits all, as the training will be structured based on the experience and background of the associate coming to the role, it provides a solid foundation for job success.Program ObjectivesBy participating in the Counter Sales Training Program, the associate will:• Develop a basic understanding of electricity generation, transmission, and distribution. • Gain product knowledge to accurately answer customer questions, provide helpful information, resolve issues efficiently, and ultimately deliver a positive customer experience.• Learn basic navigation in Viking Electric’s ERP system to improve efficiency, order tracking, bids, inventory, and more.• Acquire effective communications skills to handle customer inquiries, leading to higher customer satisfaction and loyalty.• Become familiar with Sonepar primary vendors and manufacturers to effectively troubleshoot customer issues related to product quality, availability, and sourcing.• Gain a full understanding of their day-to-day activities and responsibilities.
What You’ll DoAs a Counter Sales Associate, you’ll be the welcoming face that contractors turn to when purchasing electrical products at our branch. Your role is crucial in ensuring they quickly find what they need to get back to their job sites.
