The Accounting Clerk SkillBridge training program is a structured, four‑week, hands‑on program designed to develop entry‑level accounting personnel into independent, production‑ready clerks capable of performing routine accounting work to company standards using QuickBooks Desktop and Excel. The training blends foundational accounting concepts with real‑world transaction processing, reporting, and professional workplace practices. Training progresses from core accounting literacy and system navigation to full ownership of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reporting workflows, with increasing expectations for accuracy, efficiency, and judgment. Performance is measured using a behavior‑anchored rubric rather than academic testing, ensuring readiness for operational work at program completion.

The Accounting Clerk supports day‑to‑day accounting operations by accurately processing financial transactions, maintaining organized accounting records, and producing reliable reports using QuickBooks Desktop and Excel. This role is designed as an entry‑level but production‑capable accounting position, with structured SkillBridge training to ensure the clerk can operate independently to company standards by program completion. Primary responsibilities include accounts payable processing (entering vendor bills, expenses, payments, and attachments) and accounts receivable processing (creating invoices, recording receipts, and maintaining customer account accuracy). The clerk is expected to perform these tasks independently, accurately, and in compliance with internal controls, escalating discrepancies or unusual activity when appropriate.
