We are seeking a motivated Junior Recruiter to join our team for a structured 26-week internship program. This role offers hands-on experience across the full recruiting lifecycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, pipeline management, offer coordination and recruiting operations within a federal consulting environment.As a Junior Recruiter, you will support internal talent acquisition efforts to identify, attract and hire qualified candidates for government consulting and DoD support positions. This is a unique opportunity to gain practical recruiting experience while learning from industry professionals in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.Responsibilities• Sourcing & Pipeline Development• Source candidates using job boards (Indeed, LinkedIn,), military transition platforms, professional networks and employee referrals.• Build and maintain candidate pipelines for active requisitions.• Conduct Boolean searches and leverage LinkedIn Recruiter to identify passive candidates.• Screening & Interviewing• Review resumes and applications against position requirements.• Conduct initial phone screens to evaluate candidate qualifications, interest and availability.• Deliver structured candidate summaries to hiring managers.• Coordination & Administration• Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.• Maintain accurate candidate records and status updates in the applicant tracking system (ATS).• Draft, edit and post job descriptions on internal and external job boards.• Recruiting Operations Support• Produce weekly pipeline reports and track recruiting metrics (time-to-fill)QualificationsRequired:• Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications or related field; 4+ years of military experience in administration, personnel or human resources can substitute for degree.• Strong written and verbal communication skills.• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities independently.• Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.• Effective interpersonal skills and professional demeanor.Preferred:• Experience with applicant tracking systems or HRIS platforms.• Familiarity with Job Boards or similar sourcing tools.• Prior experience conducting interviews, counseling sessions or personnel briefs.• Interest in talent acquisition, human resources and workforce development.Other Eligibility Factors:• Ability to work independently in a remote consulting environment.• Reliable in meeting deadlines and deliverables.• Willingness to follow information governance and documentation standards.• Ability to handle sensitive candidate and employee information responsibly.• Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams including BD, proposals and hiring managers.• Professional maturity and accountability appropriate for a consulting role.Target MOCs42A – Human Resources Specialist (Army HR/personnel administration), 42T – Talent Acquisition Specialist (Army recruiting operations), 0111 – Administrative Specialist (Marine Corps admin/personnel), YN – Yeoman (Navy administrative and personnel support), PS – Personnel Specialist (Navy HR processing and records), 3F0X1 – Personnel (Air Force military personnel management), 8411 – Recruiter (Marine Corps recruiting operations).About SignificanceSignificance is a woman-owned, veteran-friendly consulting firm supporting federal and Department of Defense clients across financial management, ERP systems, data analytics, and mission-critical operations.
