Siemens Energy Skillbridge
Our program aims to give the participants the skills and experience needed to successfully transition to civilian life with a meaningful, well-paid career. At Siemens Energy, we are more than just an energy technology company. With ~100,000 dedicated employees in more than 90 countries, we develop the energy systems of the future, ensuring that the growing energy demand of the global community is met reliably and sustainably. The technologies created in our research departments and factories drive the energy transition and provide the base for one sixth of the world's electricity generation. At Siemens Energy, we keep the lights on.
This SkillBridge program is designed to allow military nondestructive examination technicians to gain valuable skills and experience for successful transition to civilian NDE positions. At Siemens Energy, our NDE Field Technicians perform examination of various components of steam and combustion turbines and generators across the United States and beyond. Technicians use UT, ET, PT, MT, VT, & RT techniques to support our customer power plant outage planning and production control. Technicians also prepare shipments of test equipment for domestic and international shipping. They support the development of new and continuous improvement of existing specialty service applications and tooling for use in the field. Take your NDE skills and experience to the next level as you transition into civilian life. TRAINING/TRAVEL/LODGING PROVIDED AT NO EXPENSE TO PARTICIPANTS. Please note that participants hired after the SkillBridge program do not need to relocate to the Pittsburgh area.
