DoD SkillBridge – NETA Field Service Technician TraineeTransition your military electrical experience into a high-demand career in electrical testing and power systems.Shermco Industries is seeking Active Duty service members with experience in electrical systems, power generation and distribution, electronics, controls, instrumentation, or related technical fields for our DoD SkillBridge NETA Field Service Technician Training Program.Participants will train alongside experienced Shermco technicians and gain hands-on experience testing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and commissioning low-, medium-, and high-voltage electrical systems at industrial and commercial customer locations.Prior NETA certification is not required. We are looking for service members with a strong electrical or technical foundation who are ready to translate their military experience into the civilian electrical testing industry.

Army 12P – Prime Power Production Specialist, 12R – Interior Electrician, 91D – Tactical Power Generation Specialist, plus electrical/power-generation maintenance backgrounds Navy EM – Electrician's Mate, CE – Construction Electrician (Seabee), GSE – Gas Turbine Systems Technician-Electrical, IC – Interior Communications Electrician, ET – Electronics Technician, and relevant nuclear electrical/electronics backgrounds Air Force 3E0X2 – Electrical Power Production, 3E0X1 – Electrical Systems, 2A6X6 – Aircraft Electrical & Environmental Systems, plus related electrical/power-generation specialties Marine Corps 1141 – Electrician, 1142 – Engineer Equipment Electrical Systems Technician, and related generator/power-generation, utilities, and electrical maintenance backgrounds Coast Guard EM – Electrician's Mate, ET – Electronics Technician, and technically relevant electrical/power-generation backgrounds Space Force Electrical power, facilities, controls, electronics, and infrastructure-related technical specialties
Army Prime Power, Interior Electricians and Power Generation; Navy Electrician's Mates, Construction Electricians/Seabees, GSE, IC and ET; Air Force Electrical Power Production and Electrical Systems; Marine Corps Electricians and Electrical Systems Technicians; Coast Guard Electrician's Mates and Electronics Technicians; and other military occupations with hands-on electrical power, generation, distribution, testing, controls, or troubleshooting experience.
Open to eligible Active Duty service members nationwide. Candidates do not need to currently reside near a Shermco training location. Selected participants may train in Kansas City, Des Moines, Cedar Rapids, or Chicago based on candidate preference, available opportunities, and business needs. Shermco will provide one-way transportation to the approved training/work location and lodging during the SkillBridge training period.
