Scout is an early-stage venture capital firm that invests in frontier technologies. Scout leads Seed Rounds with $2-6M checks while reserving capital to follow on through Series B.Our investment focus lies within AI, Machine-Learning, Quantum Computing, Robotics, Advanced Materials Science, Security, Space & Aerospace, and Advanced Energy.
The Intern will assist in identifying and evaluating new investment opportunities by navigating the venture capital and startup landscape, engaging with founders, and monitoring emerging technology trends. They will provide analytical support for due diligence efforts, including business and industry analysis, competitive landscape assessments, preparation of investment memoranda, and financial modeling under the guidance of senior team members.The Intern will actively support pipeline management and deal execution by helping track opportunities, organizing diligence materials, and contributing to internal discussions around investment decisions. They will also participate in the development of new investment theses—particularly in frontier and emerging technologies.In addition, the Intern will help manage relationships with portfolio companies by supporting ongoing communications, performance tracking, and special projects as needed. The role may also include contributing to internal firm initiatives such as platform development, content creation, operational projects, and back-office support, providing broad exposure to how an early-stage investment firm operates.
