The intern also supports reporting, data entry, and administrative functions while learning industry regulations, client service best practices, and professional office workflows.This SkillBridge opportunity provides practical experience in a professional financial environment, strengthens transferable skills such as communication, organization, attention to detail, and customer service. It also helps prepare participants for a successful transition into a civilian career in wealth management or financial services.

Roles & job description

As a SkillBridge Client Service Associate, you will support day‑to‑day office operations while developing professional, civilian‑ready skills. Under supervision, you will:-Support client onboarding by helping prepare paperwork, gathering required information, and ensuring documentation is complete-Assist with routine account maintenance tasks such as updating client information and processing service requests-Communicate with clients professionally by phone and email to address basic questions and coordinate next steps-Maintain accurate client records using CRM and internal office systems-Organize, file, and manage digital and physical documents in accordance with confidentiality and compliance standards-Assist with scheduling appointments, follow‑ups, and internal meetings-Help prepare materials for client meetings, including reports, forms, and presentation packets-Collaborate with advisors and team members to support workflow and office efficiency-Observe and shadow experienced staff to learn client service best practices and operational processes

Eligibility notes

To participate in this SkillBridge opportunity, service members must:-Be approved for participation in the DoD SkillBridge program-Be interested in financial services, business operations, or client support roles-Be comfortable working in a professional, regulated office environment-Successfully pass a background check and complete fingerprinting, as required for work involving sensitive client information
