As a Construction Materials Engineering Technician, you will primarily work outdoors, testing and inspecting materials such as soil, concrete, and asphalt to ensure quality and safety. Review construction plans and perform field and laboratory testing on construction materials like concrete, asphalt, soil, and aggregates. Collect and prepare samples for analysis by precisely documenting observations and testing results. Effectively handle and input data using field and laboratory information systems to submit your daily reports. Ensure field and lab equipment are calibrated and comply with industry standards. Communicate with engineers, management, contractors, and clients to report project progress and address any issues to ensure project compliance with specifications and industry standards. With the use of Company-provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), this physically active job involves outdoor, hands-on work in all weather conditions. You'll be walking over rough terrain, standing for long periods, lifting and carrying 40-50 lbs. of materials and equipment, and safely handling field tools and maneuvering equipment on active construction sites. If you are hired upon completing the program, the compensation ranges from $20-25/hr plus overtime.

Attention to detail and good communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing) using the English language. Math skills with a basic understanding of weight, volume, pressure, and units of measure. The understanding of a fluctuating schedule and interest in occasional travel.
