SkillBridge Quality Supervisor - Internship

The Quality Supervisor is responsible for implementing and maintaining project quality management systems on renewable energy construction projects. The role supports compliance with ISO 9001:2015 requirements through planning, inspections, documentation management, auditing, corrective action processes, and client handover activities. The Quality Supervisor works closely with project teams to ensure construction activities meet contractual, engineering, regulatory, and company quality standards while maintaining accurate records and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

This SkillBridge opportunity is a 10-week training program that prepares transitioning service members for a full-time career as a Quality Supervisor supporting renewable energy and transmission and distribution construction projects. Participants will gain hands-on, site-based experience implementing the RES Quality Management System and supporting compliance with ISO 9001:2015 principles, contractual requirements, engineering specifications, regulatory obligations, and company quality standards.Under the mentorship of experienced quality leaders, participants will support development and maintenance of Construction Quality Plans, Inspection and Test Plans, project benchmarks, standardized work instructions, inspection forms, job books, and Procore quality records. Training also includes contract and specification review, engineering document control, requests for information, pre-task planning, field surveillance, quality inspections, audits, client handover documentation, and project quality reporting.Participants will gain practical experience identifying and documenting nonconformances, conducting root cause analysis, tracking corrective and preventive actions, recording lessons learned, and supporting continuous improvement. They will also strengthen communication, relationship building, attention to detail, accountability, prioritization, customer focus, safety leadership, and coaching skills while working closely with project management, construction crews, subcontractors, subject matter experts, and clients.This opportunity is ideal for service members with experience in quality assurance or quality control, construction, engineering, equipment maintenance, logistics, inspections, auditing, document control, or operational leadership. Relevant military backgrounds may include engineering, construction, maintenance, aviation maintenance, nuclear operations, logistics, or roles involving inspection programs, technical compliance, process control, or additional-duty quality responsibilities.The training is 100% site based, with a minimum of 50% field work. Service members interested in a full-time position at the end of the program should note that project assignments may require relocation and travel. A valid driver’s license is required. Final training location and anticipated start date will be confirmed before program commencement. Service members must receive command approval to participate in the SkillBridge program.SkillBridge participants are not employees of RES and are not eligible for compensation or employee benefits from RES.Some training assignments may require relocation to a project site for the duration of the program. To offset program-related expenses associated with required travel or relocation, RES provides a per diem and phone stipend, as applicable. There is no direct cost to the Service Member to participate in this SkillBridge training opportunity.
