Aviation Technical Instructor
A 12-week immersive SkillBridge internship designed for qualified military instructors and technical leaders transitioning into commercial aviation. Participants gain practical hands-on experience in technical engine maintenance instruction, curriculum adaptation, advanced inspection diagnostics, and global field service operations.
Deliver classroom, laboratory, and hands-on technical instruction on turbine engine maintenance and systems.Assist in developing, updating, and adapting instructional materials and training rubrics for field operations.Conduct diagnostic evaluations and line-maintenance instruction alongside senior field service leads.Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, customer quality standards, and safety procedures.
Air Force: 2A3XX, 2A5XX, 2A6XX Navy: AD, AM, ATI, ATO Army: 15B, 15D, 15F, 15T, 15U Marines: 60XX, 61XX, 62XX
Active duty service member within 180 days of separation/retirement with command approval. Master Training Specialist (MTS) designation or equivalent military instructor qualification required. FAA A&P license or equivalent military aircraft engine experience preferred.
