Residential Garage Door Technician
This SkillBridge opportunity is a comprehensive 12-week training program designed to prepare participants for a successful career as residential garage door service technicians. Trainees will develop the technical skills needed to safely and confidently service, repair, and install residential garage doors. They will also receive hands-on training in home-service sales, customer communication, and ServiceTitan software. The program combines classroom instruction, interactive training, ride-alongs, and supervised field experience. Upon successful completion, trainees will be prepared to operate their own company vehicle and independently serve customers in the field.
As a Service Tech, you are the engine of what makes ProperShop’s business successful and will be responsible for the sales and performance of residential garage door services, including repairing and replacing garage door openers, springs, cables, drums, rollers and more. Service Techs work independently but with the constant support of the entire ProperShop team. You will be provided with a tablet and tools to perform service calls at various locations throughout the workday.
