This internship gives you robust training and hands-on experience on the Microsoft Power Platform, preparing you for a career as a techno-functional consultant or entry-level developer in an organization that provides AI-enabled technology solutions to support the federal government. Program can be hybrid or fully remote (Northern Virginia/DC Metro area preferred but open to full remote for the right participant)
The Power Platform Maker / Functional Consultant / Developer designs, builds, and deploys secure low‑code business applications and automations using Microsoft Power Platform technologies (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Pages, and Dataverse). Trainees learn requirements gathering, solution architecture, data modeling, workflow automation, UI/UX fundamentals, testing, deployment, and ALM practices to support enterprise digital modernization initiatives.
Candidates should have demonstrated aptitude for or experience in a computer-related field, demonstrated ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions, and be an effective communicator and collaborator who works well with stakeholders and team members. Nice to haves: 1) experience with C#, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and SQL, and 2) experience with tools such as Visual Studio, Power Apps Studio, and Jira.
Program will be hybrid, with a portion of program delivery on-site in Herndon, VA. We are open to fully remote work for the right candidate, with the expectation of very limited travel to Herndon.
