This SkillBridge Ministry and Nonprofit Leadership Internship provides transitioning service members with hands-on experience in organizational leadership, program operations, and community engagement within a large nonprofit environment. Participants will work alongside experienced leaders to develop skills in leadership, communication, team management, and program coordination. This structured program prepares participants for careers in nonprofit leadership, community outreach, and organizational management.

Roles & job description

This internship provides supervised experience in nonprofit leadership and organizational operations. Participants will assist with program coordination, volunteer team leadership, event planning, and community engagement activities. Interns will participate in planning meetings, support program execution, and develop transferable skills in leadership, communication, and team management applicable to civilian careers.

Target military occupations

Open to all MOS / ratings / AFSCs.

Eligibility notes

Participants must meet all DoD SkillBridge eligibility requirements and receive command approval. Ideal candidates demonstrate leadership ability, strong communication skills, and an interest in nonprofit leadership, community engagement, or organizational management.

Additional notes

This internship is provided at no cost to the service member. Participants continue to receive military pay and benefits through their branch of service during participation. The program provides structured, supervised training focused on leadership development, nonprofit operations, and community engagement.
