Roles & job description

Ensure that manufacturing equipment and tools function properly and increase our organization’s efficiencies. His/her duties include assisting theproduction manager with building production schedules, making sure production processes stay within the budget set by the upper management team aswell as meeting any deadlines set. They will also continually review the productivity of our organization’s manufacturing equipment and departments. Dutiesand responsibilities: • Motivating, supporting and providing guidance & training to all production staff. • Ensuring all safety and health standards are met tokeep our organization accident-free. • Communicating regularly with upper management regarding problems or issues impacting production. • Evaluatingmachine resources to ensure continued production and minimal downtime. • Establishing a balance between increased productivity and reduced costs ofmanufacturing operations. • Working with the Lead in each department to set productivity goals for each manufacturing team. • Ensuring work order flow aswell as procedures improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality. Document and ensure proper updates through ECO’s. • Work with Productionmanager and upper management to ensure adequate staffing. • Assisting with the expediting of jobs deemed necessary by the CEO. • Assisting with therework of returned or damaged parts. While also working with the quality team to document process improvements to prevent future rework. • Providingpart checks as needed in various departments. • Work with CEO to develop a monthly Lunch & Learn training schedule. Implement. • Facilitate open andoften communication between programming and the punch/brake department operators to minimize & eliminate any changes being made on the floor. •Work with each department lead to implement and execute a cross training plan. Operators to swap machine every 1-2 months. Document and presentresults to management. • Work with the Production Manager, Programming and Punch Lead to ensure work orders are being programmed and placed onthe most available machines. Create the most efficient workflow paths. • Lead and fine tune a monthly blue print reading course with the assistance of theproduction Manager. Document attendance in log. • Manage and ensure completion of any shop or machine maintenance deemed necessary by theManagement team
