Program summary

The objective of this skill bridge opportunity is to familiarize service members with the many facets of residential construction in order to help them navigate the construction industry as they transition out of the military.

Roles & job description

A residential construction worker will be expected to assist in and complete various components of the home building process including but not limited to: design and construction of interior and exterior walls, flooring, and roofing. Additionally, a residential construction worker should be experienced with all tools and equipment and should be able to deploy such tools and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

Target military occupations

Open to all MOS / ratings / AFSCs.

Applicants must be respectful, maintain high levels of integrity, and have a passion for working with their hands. No prior experience in construction is necessary. The skillbridge program will include working both indoors and outdoors.
